Essential/Desirable Qualificaiton
|
1. Possess a Ph. D. degree or 2. At least a Second Class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Horticulture obtained from any of the Agriculture/ Horticulture Universities incorporated or established by or under the Central Agriculture / Horticulture Universities Act or a State Agriculture / Horticulture Universities Act in India. 2. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules,1967; and 3. Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Experience(If any) Description
|
1. Have about three or five years of experience on the post, not below the rank of Horticulture officer, class II, in the Gujarat Horticulture service, under the Directorate of Horticulture; or
2. Have about three or five years’ separate or combined experience in the field of Horticulture Research / Horticulture Extension service / Horticulture education / Horticulture Engineering in the Government/ Government Undertaking/ Board/Corporation/Local Bodies/ Government recognized University/ Government Research Institute / Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013/ University / Krishi Vigyan Kendra falling under the jurisdiction of Agriculture Technology Research Institutions of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research on the Post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Horticulture Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Horticulture Service under the Directorate of Horticulture.
